EVENTS SCHEDULE200th Anniversary Reconsecration
On Tuesday 31 May 2022, at 7.30 P.M. Lancaster Masonic Lodge No. 57 F. & A.M. will hold its Covid-delayed 200th Anniversary Reconsecration. The event will be in a tyled Lodge in the Master Mason degree, and closed to the public.
All Master Masons in good standing with their Lodge are invited to attend this historic occasion. The Lodge held its first meeting Under Dispensation on 7 January 1820, and received its Charter on 27 December 1820. The history of Lancaster Masonic Lodge is intimately connected to the history and development of the City of Lancaster. Lancaster Masons were largely responsible for the Lancaster Lateral Canal that brought great prosperity, and Brethren organised the first institution of higher learning, the first public library, and established three churches. Early members of the Lodge held prominent positions in local, state, and federal government. For much of its history, Lancaster Masonic Lodge has held a position of high regard in Ohio Freemasonry. |
