Mt. Pleasant Shrine #57, White Shrine of Jerusalem
The Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem is an organization for men and women with a connection to the Masonic fraternity. The mission of the Order is to uphold the simple religion of Christ and further his Gospel of “Peace and Good Will upon the Earth.” To do noble deeds and by acts of kindness and works of cheer make the world better and brighter to him or her who in the hour of sorrow and affliction sees nothing but darkness. |
Parthenia Chapter #124, Order of the Eastern Star
Millersport Chapter #301, Order of the Eastern Star The Order of the Eastern Star is a Masonic appendant body open to both men and women. It was established in 1850, and was approved as an appendant body of the Masonic Fraternity in 1873. Members of the Order of the Eastern Star are aged 18 and older; men must be Master Masons and women must have specific relationships with Masons. M.Z. Kreider Chapter #145 was chartered in Lancaster in 1902, and remained in existence until 2005 when it merged with Millersport Chapter #301. Although Lancaster no longer has its own OES chapter, many Lancaster Mason's ladies are members of Parthenia #124 just a few miles up the road in Baltimore, with a few others being affiliated with Millersport #301.
